Gillespie hits back at son's 'tough love' claim
PRIMAL Scream star Bobby Gillespie has spoken publicly for the first time about the death of the band's former keyboard player.
Scots singer Gillespie, 63, said the band tried to help Martin Duffy kick booze before he died in December 2022, aged 55, from a brain injury following a fall.
The inquest recorded accidental death through alcohol intoxication but Duffy's teenage son claimed the band's "tough love" had "backfired".
