AXED IBROX KID CURTIS NOT OUT OF THE PICTURE
Daily Record
|November 05, 2025
SCOT GEMMILL insists Rangers midfielder Findlay Curtis still has a future with his Scotland Under-21 side despite leaving him out of the latest Euro 2027 qualifiers.
The young Scots travel to face a Gibraltar side they hammered 12-0 last month before a huge showdown against Bulgaria at Fir Park.
Gaffer Gemmill has handed a recall to Aston Villa striker Rory Wilson after two years, as well as call-ups for Wolves' Ethan Sutherland, Falkirk's Connor Allan and Taylor Steven of St Johnstone.
But there's no place for Ibrox kid Curtis, who has fallen out of the first-team picture after an explosive start to the season, where he scored three goals for Gers, including in the Champions League qualifiers against Panathinaikos.
Gemmill explained: “Findlay has probably been with us for the last six months.
“He's a player we feel we know well. Our staff feel they know him well. It’s more about an opportunity to see other players. We just can’t fit everyone in the squad at the same time.
