through the session he said that he felt a bit of tightness and we took him out of it.

Brazilian midfielder Ageu had been in line to make his first competitive start against Rangers on Saturday but is facing three weeks on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.

That is a blow to boss McInnes, who described the £1.7million former Santa Clara man as a "Rolls Royce" after his debut from the bench in the 2-1 win at Livingston last time out.

Defender Kent is out with a knee problem and McInnes was last night anxiously waiting to find out the severity of the injury.

He said: "Frankie hurt his knee in training on Monday, he's had a scan and left here in a moon boot.
