Hampden gets new name as deal struck with bank giants

HAMPDEN PARK will have a new name for the first time in its 122year history after the SFA bagged a big-money sponsorship deal.

The Mount Florida stadium will be called Barclays Hampden in a move Record Sport understands will bank the association more than £1million a year. The banking giants will also back both the men's and women's Scottish Cup competitions and the girls' performance programme.
