Kinky the eagle is spotted in skies after fears injury would affect hunt

A RARE white-tailed eagle nursed back to health by its parents after suffering a broken wing has been spotted alive and well almost a year later.

The sighting last week followed a nationwide appeal by bird charity RSPB Scotland.

In 2024, experts were stunned after two white-tailed eagles on the Hebridean Isle of Mull spent a year caring for their injured chick in behaviour they say has never before been witnessed in the species.

The male chick had fallen from the nest in July 2023 during bad weather, which resulted in a break to its left wing. It continued to be fed by its parents and eventually took to the skies.
