49-YEAR-OLD WITH LONG CRIMINAL RECORD JAILED FOR 54 MONTHS AS JUDGE SAYS HE'S NOT CONVINCED BY CLAIMS HE'S ASHAMED
Leon Langford of Mostyn was jailed for 54 months
A would-be robber left a Greggs worker fearing for their life after he held a knife towards them and demanded they open the till.
Leon Langford burst into the Queensferry branch of the bakery chain and held the knife inches from the terrified worker on January 5 this year.
But the staff member managed to get away into another back room, saying he would get a manager, before locking the door, Mold Crown Court heard.
Langford, 49, of Wirral View, Mostyn, left empty-handed, said Simon Parry, prosecuting. The police were then called.
It was one of a number of offences committed by the defendant that day.
He also carried out an attempted theft at the Asda store in Queensferry, during which he tried to ram a TV in a trolley into a fire door, before the alarm was activated.
He tried to put the TV back, before being asked to leave the store.
