Winds may limit bridge access

A BRIDGE connecting Anglesey to mainland North Wales could close for hours to some traffic, as gale force blasts hit amid Storm Amy.

A yellow weather for wind comes into force at 4pm today until midnight Saturday, covering Conwy, Anglesey, Gwynedd, Denbighshire, Flintshire and Wrexham, with gusts of up to 70mph forecast.

And now motorists are being warned the Britannia Bridge could be shut to some traffic, with only cars and “car derived vans” being allowed to cross, for three hours this evening (Friday).
