WALES players’ have drawn a “line in the sand" after the narrow defeat against Scotland, with Steve Tandy's squad believing they can take that same level of intent and aggression to Dublin this Friday night.

The 26-23 defeat to Gregor Townsend's side was a marked improvement to their first two matches of the tournament - with Wales' players indicating to their coaches in recent days that the performance in Cardiff is now the benchmark on which to judge them.

Having reviewed the game back, Wales attack coach Matt Sherratt said that his side had not “shown enough intent" in the first two matches of the competition against England and France - but managed to get that on the field against Scotland for large parts in the Welsh capital.

Having built a 20-5 lead, they ultimately couldn’t hold on in the end - but confidence in the group is growing.
