WREXHAM’S star players have been warned they could be next after club talisman Paul Mullin was axed from the squad.

‘Ruthless’ Parky won't be afraid to swing axe again

The striker, who is a favourite of Hollywood owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, has not played a single minute in League One since January.

Mullin has registered an impressive 110 goals for the Red Dragons since joining in July 2021, but has not even made the bench for their last nine fixtures.

Wrexham’s back-to-back promotions from the National League and League Two in the last two seasons would not have been possible without the 30-year-old’s goalscoring heroics.

However, he finds himself frozen out by Phil Parkinson after the arrival of former Burnley forward Jay Rodriguez and Reading striker Sam Smith during the January transfer window.

The manager's actions have now been described as “ruthless” by former Wrexham midfielder Waynne Phillips, who believes no player is safe from the chop.
