LIVERPOOL could take part in as many as 68 matches in a mammoth 2025/26 campaign after their Premier League fixtures were confirmed.

- By THEO SQUIRES

The top-flight schedule was announced yesterday morning as the Reds were given a tricky start to their title defence.

Opening the campaign at home to AFC Bournemouth on Friday 15 August, Arne Slot’s men will then travel to Newcastle United on August 23 before hosting Arsenal on August 30.

Meanwhile, a tough finish also awaits Liverpool as trips to Manchester United and Aston Villa and home clashes with Chelsea and Brentford lie in store in the final month of the season.

While the Reds now know their Premier League fixture list, they will have to wait a little while longer to find out their opponents in domestic cup and European action.

Draw dates for the League Cup and FA Cup third round are not yet confirmed, but Liverpool will learn their eight opponents in the Champions League league phase on Thursday 28 August.
