Police swoop to arrest man in murder probe as woman's body found

A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the discovery of a woman's body in Prestatyn.

Police swooped on Coniston Drive in the town yesterday afternoon before a local man was taken into custody.

The road was cordoned off, with a heavy police presence at the scene, while investigations continued.

A murder probe was launched on Friday morning when a member of the public discovered the body of a woman in the Dawson Drive area at around 8.40am on Friday.

A large police cordon was put into place, with members of the public urged to avoid the area while investigation work took place.
