Obi stakes his first-team claims with a double as United end on high note

MANCHESTER United brought their post-season tour to a close with a 3-1 win over Hong Kong at the Hong Kong Stadium yesterday.
After falling behind against the run of play to a Juninho strike in the first half, United turned the game on its head in the second half via a Chido Obi brace and a late header from Ayden Heaven.
Just five minutes into the second half, Obi swiv-elled inside the penalty area and crashed a low drive into the bottom corner. It was a clinical finish and it offered a further insight into what he is capable of.
He got himself on the scoresheet again with less than ten minutes left on the clock, heading in Mason Mount's excellent delivery.
The youngster timed his run across his marker to perfection and glanced his header into the far corner.
Heaven added a third right at the death, heading home in stoppage time, after connecting with a brilliant Amad cross.
United produced a much better performance than what they had served up in Kuala Lumpur 48 hours earlier and deservedly came out on top.
Obi had replaced Rasmus Hojlund at half-time and took five minutes to crash the ball into the net.
Liam Delap's decision to join Chelsea over United is merely a stay of execution for Hojlund.
United need a proven goalscorer, not one jettisoned by City's academy. United tried to cut corners with Delap's release clause when they need a proven commodity.
