MIDFIELDER Ben Sheaf is 'excited' to be joining a club on an upward trajectory after joining Wrexham in a £6.5million deal from Coventry City on transfer deadline day.

Sheaf, 27, has signed a three-year deal at the football club with the option for a further year pending registrations and international clearance.

The former Arsenal academy graduate first moved to Coventry in 2020, signing initially on loan before a permanent switch the following season.

He played 176 matches for the Sky Blues - including scoring in the thrilling FA Cup defeat to Wrexham in 2023. He also played in the Championship playoff final at Wembley later that same season.
