High St butcher's no longer for the chop as new local owners take over

A BUTCHER'S is set to reopen on a North Wales high street in a sudden turnaround.
Cig Porthmadog Meats had been trading on Porthmadog’s main shopping street for nearly 20 years.
But as reported in The Daily Post, last month butcher Geraint Pritchard announced it would be closing - blaming the high costs of running the business.
The decision came after seeing the price of meat and other services rocket in recent years.
Geraint said that he was ‘truly sorry’ that they would not be able to fulfil Christmas orders.
