NORTH Wales has been lifted out of drought status after recent downpours.
After an unusually dry summer, the area was officially declared to be in drought last month.
However, the deluge experienced in the past 10 days means the drought has been stood down - but concern remains over river levels.
North Wales is now officially in 'drought recovery' mode
The scorching summer weather, which caused streams to dry up and led to reports of “fish in distress” and other environmental impacts, prompted Natural Resources Wales (NRW) to declare drought conditions in affected areas.
