We've become too used to level-dropping performances from the Blues

Easy for Chelsea and boss won't have that

WE KNEW that April was going to be a difficult period for us given the high-flying nature of all our opponents, but as I try to explain in my column, I think David Moyes will be learning more about his players in these fixtures.

Unfortunately, up until about the hour mark, the Chelsea match showed where we are lacking as a football team.

Yes, Moyes and his coaching staff have got a rise out of these players and they've responded with some great performances and some good wins, looking a lot brighter than they did under Sean Dyche, but these are the type of performances we're used to seeing as Evertonians, where our players drop down in their levels and start making it easy for the opposition.

That's not a trait of a Moyes side, but this is how he will learn.

You can get beat by top opposition, and people can make mistakes, but it’s all about how you react and making it difficult for the other team.

After the goal, Jordan Pickford came screaming out, mentioning that it had happened four times, we'd been losing the ball under absolutely no pressure, committing unforced errors.

That's where the goal came from. Beto got a half-decent first touch but then he was too slow and passive in his play.
