PRICES AT PUMPS NEARING RECORD HIGH SET IN 2022
DRIVERS with diesel cars in Wales are now forking out more than a third extra at the forecourt compared to prices before the Iran conflict began. Figures from the RAC reveal that diesel costs have surged by 35%, while petrol has climbed by 19%.
The sharp rise followed Iran's decision to blockade the Strait of Hormuz in response to United States and Israeli airstrikes, which commenced on February 28.
