Complex officially reopens after £1.3m transformation

A NORTH Wales cinema has received a £1.3 million upgrade, transforming the landmark building into a modern family hub with improved facilities and new attractions.

The doors were officially reopened on Friday at the Empire Complex in Holyhead by Anna McMorrin MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State in the Wales Office.

The investment is part of Anglesey County Council's wider Town Centre Regeneration programme, designed to revitalise key community, cultural and heritage assets while boosting the local economy.

The revamp was funded by the UK Government in partnership with Anglesey County Council and Holyhead Town Council.

Ms McMorrin said the project highlighted the UK Government’s commitment to regenerating communities across Wales.
