CRACKED Coffee has opened its first physical shop on the High Street in Mold, Flintshire, after years of perfecting the craft of roasting and selling specialty coffee online.

Cracked Coffee, Mold

It is quite ironic that the couple first met whilst in a coffee shop, and soon had their own ambitious dreams about opening a cafe together.

Well, dreams sometimes come true, as the Cracked Coffee House opened its doors in early May.

Owners Harry Dempsey and Catrin Jones moved to Chester from Huddersfield in 2017, to be closer to Catrin's family, from Anglesey.

Harry had worked for the Jaunty Goat coffee company in Chester until two years ago, when he finally took the brave leap into self-employment by selling coffee online.

They then found the right small space for "living the dream", opening the cafe as the next logical step with their business.

They feel that their cafe is a lot different to other coffee shops in the area, as they roast all of their coffee beans on site. It means they can pick and roast, exactly which coffee the customers enjoy.

They are keen to introduce people to more experimental coffees and different brewing methods as well.

In fact, they were describing the different coffee beans for sale on their shelf to interested customers, when we walked in through the cafe doors.
