Cat mess dispute goes to High Court

A DISPUTE over cat mess in a quiet Welsh street has reached the high court.

New dad Richard Williamson, from Bedwas in Caerphilly borough, complained that a neighbour's pets were repeatedly defecating in his garden and hasn't been pleased about the local council's response.

It started last year when Mr Williamson raised concerns with Caerphilly council about a cat pooing on his land. He argued that while cats were allowed to roam, they "do not have the right to cause a statutory nuisance or pose an environmental health risk".
