CALVERT-LEWIN COULD FACE BLUES IN FIRST GAME FOR LEEDS

FORMER Everton hero Dominic Calvert-Lewin is set to sign for Leeds United - meaning his first appearance for his new club could be against the one he has just left.

Calvert-Lewin called time on his nine-year stay with Everton in the summer as the England international was unable to agree a new contract and departed as a free agent.

Despite links to the likes of Newcastle United, Manchester United and Sunderland, his search for a new club has been ongoing. But that now appears to have changed.

Calvert-Lewin has now reached an agreement to sign for Leeds, who are making their return to the Premier League after winning the Championship last season.

The 28-year-old was set to undergo a medical at the club's Thorp Arch training ground ahead of sealing a free transfer move.
