Call to watch out for bad practices as milk prices fall

PLAID Cymru has warned that cuts to milk prices will be the first real test of the Agricultural Supply Chain Adjudicator and it has urged the Welsh Government to monitor behaviour and call out bad practice.

Addressing the Welsh Parliament, Plaid Cymru spokesperson for Rural Affairs Llyr Gruffydd MS, said significant milk price cuts made it all the more important that the Welsh Government worked with the Agricultural Supply Chain Adjudicator. He also argued this would be the first significant test of the effectiveness of the Fair Dealings Obligations (Milk) Regulations.
Questioning the Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs in the Senedd, Mr Gruffydd said:
