LIVERPOOL left-back Andy Robertson has emerged as a transfer target for Atletico Madrid. The surprise development emerged on Saturday afternoon.
The 31-year-old is entering the final year of his contract and endured a mixed campaign last season in terms of his form. However, he did start 33 times in the Premier League as his side went on to win the title.
News of Atletico’s interest emerged on Saturday afternoon at the end of a week that saw Robertson reveal he has held talks with Liverpool about his future.
The Post's sister paper The ECHO understands that the full-back is towards the top of Atletico’s wanted list as they look to strengthen their defensive resources this summer.
