Armstrong has a bright future

PRESTON North End manager Paul Heckingbottom believes the sky's the limit for Everton's Harrison Armstrong after he netted his first goal on loan for the Championship club.

The Liverpool-born 18-year-old completed a season-long move to Deepdale on transfer deadline day.

It came after he signed off at Everton with a brace of assists in the 2-0 Carabao Cup win over Mansfield Town at Hill Dickinson Stadium on August 27.

He had been getting regular minutes for Preston but a groin injury had kept him out of action for almost a month before the weekend.

Armstrong returned for the home game against Wrexham on Saturday as a 70th-minute substitute for ex-Blues forward Lewis Dobbin with his side trailing to Kieffer Moore's fourth minute tap-in.
