Adventure activities to restart at site of former surf lagoon

POPULAR adventure attractions at Conwy’s Surf lagoon site are to reopen this summer, its new owners have said.

Adrenaline activities are to restart at the former Adventure Parc Snowdonia complex, now owned by the Interesting Hotels Group (IHG).

The company has no plans to reopen the adjacent surf lagoon, which closed in 2023 after suffering a series of mechanical issues. But IHG is promising other “unique and interesting experiences” at the Conwy Valley complex at Dolgarrog.

The company bought the former Hilton Garden Inn hotel in late 2024, promptly rebranding it the IXORA Hotel Spa. Soon after the company also acquired the lagoon and its adventure and glamping activities - these had been operated as Zip World Conwy by the leisure giant for a little over a year.
