Chiefs co-coach Cedric Kaze has brushed aside any talk of revenge ahead of his side’s Nedbank Cup last-32 clash against Stellenbosch FC tomorrow.Amakhosi head to the DHL Stadium mindful of their Carling Knockout Cup exit earlier this season, where Stellies eliminated them on penalties in the round of 16. That result added another chapter to a rivalry that has steadily intensified over recent campaigns, with both clubs regularly crossing paths in decisive fixtures.

However, Kaze was adamant that Chiefs are not driven by payback.

"It's true that Stellenbosch have eliminated us from the Carling Knockout Cup but I thought we were the better team that day and unfortunately we lost on penalties,” Kaze said.

“But there’s no revenge in football, it's just another game that we need to win and try to have a good performance.”
