Northwood High School dominates KZN top 10 list

THE KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government awarded the top matric achievers for the year 2025 at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Durban yesterday.

This event spotlighted not only academic excellence but also resilience and character, as students from diverse backgrounds gathered to celebrate their hard work and triumphs.

Leading the pack from the Umlazi District is Wang Kuo-Hung, a student at Northwood High, who clinched the top spot, garnering second place in the province.

Kuo-Hung, also known as Benson Wang, has carved a niche for himself through remarkable academic discipline, quiet leadership, and extensive personal integrity.

Throughout his matric year, he adeptly balanced the rigours of academics alongside his prefect responsibilities, setting a calm and positive example for his peers.
