MKP still has KZN Premier in its sights as no confidence discussions ongoing

THE uMkhonto weSizwe Party (MKP) has appealed to individual members of the KZN Government of Provincial Unity to vote with their conscience during the expected motion of no confidence against Premier Thamsanqa Ntuli.

In a recent interview with the MKP’s Secretary-General ongani Mncwango, he said the party had not approached any party within the GPU to assist in its renewed campaign to dislodge Ntuli, who is the provincial chairperson of the IFP. Two weeks ago the MKP resuscitated its campaign to dismantle the GPU, by filing a motion of no confidence against Ntuli.

The Office of the Speaker Non-tembeko Boyce confirmed receiving the motion, saying it will be processed accordingly

Mncwango said his party filed the motion without first discussing it with any party, saying it is banking on the 'conscience of individual members of the legislature to do the right thing'.
