Bosses dump Go Compare star after Strictly scandal

Wynne lose situation for Beeb

WYNNE Evans has told how being axed from his BBC radio show left him heartbroken, after he was reportedly dumped by email.

The Go Compare adverts star confirmed bosses have not renewed his contract following the scandal that rocked his Strictly appearances.

He was seen grabbing professional partner Katya Jones' waist before she pushed his hand away, which he insisted was a joke.

Evans also used a vulgar sexual term aimed at Janette Manrara during a Strictly photocall, which he claimed was directed at fellow celeb Jamie Borthwick. A video later emerged of him sending a sex toy to the actor, which sparked criticism.

He was axed from the Strictly tour and stepped back from his BBC Radio Wales 11am weekday show.

But Evans insisted he will bounce back with a new slot online - as one expert last night revealed he may not be the corporation's last big name axing in its misbehaviour crackdown.

Praising his supporters, 53-year-old opera singer Evans said in an emotional statement yesterday: "My beloved Wynners, From the very depths of my heart, thank you.
