Reeves' £39bn affordable homes vow to beat crisis
AMID the crippling housing crisis, Labour's pledge to build more affordable homes will be welcome news to those struggling to find a decent place to live.
Rachel Reeves will today unveil a £39billion package for hundreds of thousands of new properties over the next decade.
The Chancellor's vow is part of Labour's promise to build 1.5 million houses before the next election.
A source said: "We're turning the tide against the unacceptable housing crisis in this country with the biggest boost to social and affordable housing investment in a generation, delivering on our Plan for Change commitment to get Britain building."
