OFWAT SOFT ON THAMES £123M FINES

WATCHDOGS were yesterday accused of handing troubled Thames Water a sweetheart deal over a record £123million in fines.
Ofwat hit the UK’s biggest water company with the penalties in May for breaking rules over sewage spills and shareholder payouts.
The £122.7m worth of fines were supposed to have been paid by August 20.
