Locals will get power to refuse outlets, New funds for blighted communities

LOCAL people will be given powers to block new vaping and gambling shops under plans to revive Britain's high streets.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer will this week unveil a shakeup of planning rules to give communities more control over the number and location of shops.

He is expected to announce new funds with some for councils and some for communities for projects.
