Pal's sensational claim in defence of President over paedophile storm

DONALD Trump was secretly working as an FBI snitch on his pal Jeffrey Epstein, a top Republican has dramatically claimed.

Mike Johnson, the party's leader in the House of Representatives, made the allegation on US television.

It came after he was being grilled over the US President's repeated claim the Epstein scandal was nothing more than a "Democrat-invented hoax".

Johnson sought to defend Trump, saying critics were twisting his words.

He said: "What Trump is referring to is the hoax that the Democrats are using to try to attack him.

"I've talked to him about this many times, many times. He is horrified.

"It's been misrepresented. He's not saying that what Epstein did is a hoax.

"It's a terrible, unspeakable evil. He believes that himself."
