Trump tries to score Nixon-style points

DONALD Trump yesterday posted a photo of himself acting tough by pointing his finger at Vladimir Putin - echoing a famous 1959 scene between Richard Nixon and Nikita Khrushchev.

The President put the images, left, online hours after Moscow unleashed its latest major blitz on Ukraine.

Trump's pose mirrored then Vice-President Nixon's clash with Soviet leader Khrushchev at an American National Exhibition in Moscow during the Cold War. Trump's supporters called it a symbol of defiance. But insiders claim it is a sign of his fury at Putin's refusal to end the carnage.
