'Toddler' Martinez a titan as he muscles out Haaland then puts challenge in on Scholes

WHEN Paul Scholes was previewing the Manchester derby with his old mate Nicky Butt, he raised the prospect of Lisandro Martinez having to deal with Erling Haaland.

And Scholes simply puffed out his cheeks in mock exasperation, implying the contest would be a one-sided affair - and not in the Manchester United man’s favour.

Butt joined in the fun, and said: “Haaland would pick Martinez up and run with him. You know when you see a dad at school running down the road with a little toddler.”

Scholes laughed: “He'd score, then throw him in the net.”
