Tooth decay at 1998 level

TOOTH decay has returned to the levels of 27 years ago.

A survey shows 41% of adults in England now have rotten teeth, similar to the figure found in a 1998 survey, and up from 28% in 2009.

The Adult Oral Health Survey also found 40% of the 2,285 people polled were unable to find a dentist, 35% only went when having problems and 31% said they could not afford to pay.
