Williams eyes scaling 'Everest... and not 'wasting' another season

ENGLAND captain George Williams has targeted "reaching Everest" for club and country this year.

The dynamic Warrington stand-off firmly believes they can finally crack Super League and then he has set his sights on the Aussies.

With a long-awaited Ashes series in the autumn, it is a mouthwatering 2025 ahead especially after last season petered out.

Wolves, who had already lost the Challenge Cup final to Wigan, were dumped out of the Super League semi-finals at Hull KR.

They have an entire wall dedicated to Everest (above) at their training ground with images of their players' player of the match from every round working to the summit.
