Morgan injury a massive blow for Tandy

WALES captain Jac Morgan is unlikely to feature in the rest of their autumn campaign as the Steve Tandy era began with an emphatic defeat against Argentina.

Tandy became the first Welshman to take control of the men’s national team since 2007, but the size of the task facing the former Scotland defence coach was laid out in no uncertain terms as the Pumas clinched a record win in Cardiff.

And Tandy is now facing up to playing their remaining games against Japan, New Zealand and South Africa without a “devastated” Morgan, who suffered a dislocated shoulder in the process of scoring Wales’ third try.

“It’s always a blow to lose any player,” said Tandy afterwards.
