'Pal Rashford told me I would love it at Villa'

JADON SANCHO has revealed how a glowing reference from Marcus Rashford helped convince him to join Aston Villa.

Winger Sancho, 25, completed a season-long loan move to Villa Park from Manchester United on deadline day as he bids to get his career back on track.

Rashford (below) himself made a similar temporary switch from Old Trafford to Villa in January having, like Sancho, been out of favour under Ruben Amorim.

He made an impressive 10 goal contributions in all competitions before injury struck and is now on a season-long loan at Barcelona.
