No Halloween treats

ACTORS were shocked when a Halloween visitor attraction gave up the ghost before the big day.

Performers who dressed as zombies and ghouls at Halloween Haunt Fest learned earlier this week the event had been cancelled mid-run.

One actor, who played a zombie, said she now faces missing out on about £1,600 in wages.

Phoebe Shergold-Willis said the event hired about 100 actors on £85-a-day rates, but added she was 99% sure none had been paid.

She said: "We all signed the same contract... which is, you do the work, you put in an invoice and then you get paid 30 days after.
