Haye says hot prospect Itauma reminds him of young Iron Mike

DAVID HAYE says Moses Itauma’s stunning rise in the sport has reminded him of Mike Tyson's early days.

But the two-weight world champion has told the heavyweight sensation he doesn't need to become a motormouth like him to be a superstar of the sport.

Former cruiserweight and heavyweight titleholder Haye is brimming with excitement about the Slovakian-born Brit who is one of the hottest prospects in world boxing.

Itauma (right), 20, is 12-0 and steps up against world title challenger Dillian Whyte in Riyadh tomorrow night.

It’s a bold move at such an early stage of a career which saw Itauma skip senior amateur boxing to go straight into the pro ranks.

But with 10 KOs on his record and a nonchalant attitude to his own rise, Haye believes it is reminiscent of the early days of ‘Iron Mike’ when the American was ripping through contenders to become the youngest ever heavyweight champion.
