LITTLER FEELING GRAND

LUKE LITTLER achieved another landmark in his extraordinary career as he became the sport's youngest ever World No.1 and then sealed his glory by retaining his Grand Slam of Darts crown.

World champion Littler, 18, is officially the best player in the world, overhauling Luke Humphries in the rankings after the semifinals in Wolverhampton before defeating his great rival 16-11 in the final (inset).

Littler, who banked £150,000 for his win last night, has amassed £1.85million in prize money in less than two years on the PDC's Order of Merit.
