Boss Beau fends off rivals to sort deal

LEIGH owner Derek Beaumont says a new deal with star half-back Lachlan Lam is "all sorted" - and insisted: "Why would he leave?

Speculation about the Papua New Guinea international has been rife with talk of a return to the NRL, and Super League leaders Hull KR also keen on his services.

The ex-Sydney Roosters playmaker is out of contract at the end of the season, but his dad and Leopards head coach Adrian Lam hinted last week that he is staying.
