Justice for Grenfell? Not until those who put profit before people are in jail

AN aunt of a girl who died in the Grenfell Tower fire has said she I will not accept justice has been done until people are behind bars.

Sandra Ruiz's niece Jessica Urbano Ramirez, 12, was among the 72 people killed when a fire ripped through the West London block of flats in 2017.

With the second and final report on the disaster due to be published by the Grenfell Tower Inquiry on Wednesday, she said: "Our lives were shattered on that night, people need to be held accountable. They know what part they played. The inquiry knows what part they played.

"The police know what part they played. Now they just need to take some action. People who have made decisions putting profit above people's safety need to be behind bars." The inquiry heard in 2018 that Jessica begged firefighters to come faster in a 999 call as the blaze engulfed the building.
