It's no Djok... Novak gives Aussies his own silent treatment

And the seething Serbian superstar claimed he will refuse to speak after his matches until he gets an apology even if he is fined.

The 10-time champion beat No.24 seed Jiri Lehecka 6-3 6-4 7-6 last night to set up a quarter-final showdown with Carlos Alcaraz.

But instead of then speaking to Channel 9 interviewer Jim Courier (right), Djokovic took the microphone and told the Rod Laver Arena crowd: "Thank you very much for being here tonight, I appreciate your presence and support and I will see you in the next round."

He then walked off to a smattering of boos and was then seen in a heated discussion with tournament director Craig Tiley.

The No.7 seed then came into his post-match press conference to "clarify" his action.
