Geri husband in £80m payoff after Red Bull Racing sacking
CHRISTIAN Horner has picked up an £80million payoff after officially leaving the Red Bull F1 team following his sacking two months ago.
The former team principal and chief executive is said to have agreed the sum with the Austrian drinks giant to sever his contract, which was due to run until 2030.
Horner, who is married to ex-Spice Girl Geri, was axed in July after 20 years with the F1 Red Bull team. It won six World Constructors' Championship titles under his leadership between 2010 and 2023.
The company did not give a reason for replacing him with Laurent Mekies.
