Firm's bumper Royal Mail pensions deal is terminated

CAPITA'S £6million-a-year contract to run the Royal Mail's statutory pension scheme has been ripped up.

Paymaster General Nick Thomas-Symonds told MPs the firm had "failed to deliver numerous milestones".

He said Capita had failed to switch over to the new oper ating model in a timely fashion.

Mr Thomas-Symonds added: "Capita had an 18-month planning window to prepare for the transition.
