Driverless car thinks for itself, says chief

NVIDIA'S boss has boasted that the tech giant's new driverless car software can reason for itself.

Chief executive Jensen Huang claimed the vehicle, which his firm produced with Mercedes-Benz, was the world’s safest car.

And he claimed Nvidia's Alpamayp software platform was the “world’s first thinking, reasoning autonomous vehicle AI”.

He added that the tech could think through rare scenarios, drive safely in complex environments and explain its decisions.
