Rice was catchphrase winner with Gunners, now he's ready for England stirring role
DECLAN RICE is going to call on his famous catchphrase for this World Cup.
Back in April, Rice was caught on camera mouthing "it's not done" after Arsenal lost at Manchester City and appeared to be on their way to blowing the title.
But Rice's message of defiance proved to be a turning point for the Gunners as they won the Premier League for the first time in 22 years - and now he says England will have the same mindset.
The hard work starts here as Thomas Tuchel's men begin the knockout stage against DR Congo, with Rice insisting anyone who thinks it will be easy is mistaken.
Despite topping Group L, England's performances were far from convincing and there has to be a mood shift if they want to go through and navigate potential knockout ties in Mexico City and then a quarter-final with Brazil.
When asked if that is the mentality needed, Rice said: "100 per cent. Looking at our next opponent, it's going to be a really tough game.
