Death Row gran home after 13yrs

DRUGS mule gran Lindsay Sandiford was back on British soil yesterday after spending nearly 13 years in a Bali jail sentenced to the death penalty.

Sandiford, 69, touched down at London Heathrow Airport at around 11.50am after a 20-hour flight from Indonesia, and shielded her face as she was wheeled through the airport.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper secured an agreement with Indonesia over her release last month.

She was given a UK-funded £600 seat on a Qatar Airways flight, before making the 8,000-mile journey.

British officials took her to a waiting vehicle before driving her to an unknown location.
